This is kunek. They are from my home town, Stillwater, Oklahoma. They freakin' rock. I have their album on my Zen Nano Plus. I have listened to their album hundreds of times, and it is still good.

I remember when you first posted this and I was eager to listen to it.At the time though the sound on my PC was knackered.Anyway just remembered about this when viewing your profile and so with the sound now working I had a listen.I have to say I agree with you, they are pretty darn cool. Thanks for sharing!

Oh and this is slightly unrelated, but I noticed that you're originally from Stillwater, Oklahoma.I didn't know that, always thought you were from Seattle.Anyway I watched a tv programme a few weeks ago about tornado's, and ended up doing a bit of research on the net afterwards:

“Stillwater-area historical tornado activity is slightly above Oklahoma state average. It is 276% greater than the overall U.S. average.”

Geez! I know the tornado alley does cover a vast area, so maybe you've never even seen one.But with stats like that from the above quote, I'm guessing that you must have seen one before, even from a far distance?

If anything I'm probably more likely to see one than an American. The fact is there are more tornado's in Britain compared to land mass than anywhere else in the world.Of course, thankfully! they're not very big ones (usually!) but I have seen a couple of small ones over my lifetime:

“since Britain has an average of 33 tornadoes every year in an area 38 times smaller than the USA, you're twice as likely to witness a tornado here.”

Oh and I just have to say if you'd rather not discuss this topic just say “shut the heck up flex” and it'll be so :)
It's just that I found the programme I watched fascinating and wondered what it would be like to live in such an area. And so to know that someone I know here, you!, lived there, well that's interesting.

Cheers!

Flex!
This is interesting - I didn't realize that about Britain but that makes sense. I have seen a few tornadoes in person, and many on the news and the radar. I have huddled in a bathroom or closet more than once during a severe storm.

One time we sat outside of my house and watched a tornado rip up a grocery store a couple miles away.

You know what else is interesting is that there is very little thunder and lightning here?! I have seen 80 mile an hour wind rip trees out of the ground, ice storms, and magnificent lightning in Oklahoma. I don't think I will be seeing those things here….

I know many people who have experienced tornadoes, some of them more intensely than I.

And by the way, kunek freakin' rocks and I have the feeling they will be famous soon.
